My name is Sami. I'm nineteen. And I'm a musician.

When I’m about to perform, the blood rushes through me so that all I can hear is my heartbeat and my breathing. And it becomes something so much more. My pulse is the four-four time to the chords I strum. My breathing sets the pace for the lyrics that pour from my heart and not my head. For that one moment, those few minutes, I know that this is exactly what I’m supposed to be and where I’m supposed to be. It pulls all the pieces of my life back together and everything is right. It’s my only stability when nothing else seems permanent.

Music is my life and I want more than anything to share it with who ever will listen. I want to help people through music, because that’s what music did for me. I want to be an influence to people, to show them that there’s always a way to work things out; be it in their hands or someone else’s, there’s hope for a better day. Mostly, I want people to feel like they’re not alone when they hear my music, to take comfort in the fact that one person made it out alive and so can they.

I may not sound like any of the bands with Screamhouse, but I know I have what it takes. All I need is someone who will listen. I've got a MySpace, but it's hardly worth presenting. What I do have, though, is my YouTube. I've got a few covers up that were done by request. As for my originals, I think my writing has come a long way. Music is everything to me, and I know I'm supposed to be someone. I just need a chance.

Thanks for entering! Dont worry about being compared to artists that we have previously recorded. We are basing this contest on talent and songwriting. We are glad to have you here!!!

I watched a couple of your videos. Your music sounds good, and we can see in the videos that you definitely sing with a lot of passion. We will be deciding in about another week or so. Good luck!
